VCD Teams 2014-2015
March 9th, 2015 by admin

Dear VCD 2014-2015students. After your groupletter you will find in the list below the letters of the groups your group has to review (their blogs) weekly (at least times in total). Comment on their blogs by peerreviewing them, giving them advices, raising questions, starting discussions or just being critical.

Sorry, at the moment for the following sites commenting and peer reviewing is only possible on the special created pages (just click) on this blog.

Wikipedia: A blog (a truncation of the expression weblog) is a discussion or informational site published on the World Wide Web and consisting of discrete entries (“posts”) typically displayed in reverse chronological order (the most recent post appears first)Wikipedia: A majority of blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments, and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites. In that sense, blogging can be seen as a form of social networking service. Indeed, bloggers do not only produce content to post on their blogs, but also build social relations with their readers and other bloggers.Wikipedia: Peer review is the evaluation of work by one or more people of similar competence to the producers of the work (peers).

Concerning assignment 1
– How did they (the other 2 groups) do their analysis. Do you understand their description of the visual structure of the website. Do you agree? Did your group do it differently?
– Do you agree with their grading of the different visual elements. It’s up to you to start a discussion if necessary.
– Look at the results of their eye-tracking test. React on their analysis and conclusions. Again, start a discussion if necessary.
– Do the same concerning their redesign activities (Aesthetics, Product and Future Interactions). Be critical, raise questions, start discussions and so on.

Obvious it is clear that only a blog where it is possible to give comments can expect to get helpful peerreviews. So create this functionality. Our suggestion for the Tumblr ‘sites’ is to use Disqus. More information about Disqus can you find at:

And as mentioned in the deliverables for assignment 1, you also have to report about these peerreviews in the requested Process Report.
